The Icheon Ceramic Hill is located on National Highway No. 3, the entrance road of Icheon, which is famous for pottery. Currently, step 1 is completed and when step 2 is completed it will be a convergence of architecture, installation art, ceramic art, and infrastructure that integrate ceramic mountain, ceramics hall, ceramic info and ceramic doors. The double ceramic hall is a subterranean gallery below the slope and creates a space that seems to be inside of the pottery.
Participation
The Icheon Ceramic Hill is now consists of more than 2,000 pottery pots, 100 potters from Icheon City, 7 ceramics workshops participated, It was made with 2000 pottery through participation of 350 citizens. At the completion of step 2, more than 5,000 pottery pots and more citizens and potters will participate. This work has been completed with the participation of local artists, workshops and citizens, and the architect has designed the rules of participation together.
