‘IM House’ by architect Tesoc Hah, on <Future House 2020>.

What is the future of the house? Like a scene in a sci-fi movie, is it located as high as the sky? Here is one scenario.

‘Today, after a day, I returned home late, so IM House responds to me by moving the Kinetic Facade lightly. I stand in front of the house and recognize me and open the door. I go through the front door of the ambient sound that cancels the sound without waking up my family. The lights in the house turn on in front of me. IM House observes how I live when I am at home, grasps what I like and adjusts my house to the best condition I am comfortable with.’

It is not a story of the future. The IM house is currently under construction with the goal of completion by early next year. It is the house and model house of the architect Tesoc Hah (CEO, SCALe). It is a concept that a home-based situational intelligence system collects and analyzes big data related to residential environment and evolves itself. The role of the architect in future homes is extended to program developers.

Future House 2020, an exhibition featuring such a future house, is being held at the Seongsan-dong cultural stockpile base in Seoul. It is a special exhibition of the Seoul Architecture Culture Festival (www.saf.kr) held until the 24th. Tesoc Hah, who organized the exhibition, said, “In 2020, the story of a house that can be realized four years later is described.” The high-tech Internet, robotics, big data, and artificial intelligence in the fourth industrial revolution era It is an exhibition exploring how it will affect everyday life.
